February 5, 2010 edition of The Jewish Chronicle.

The Jewish Chronicle (abbreviated as The JC) is a British newspaper published every Friday before the start of Shabbat. The Jewish Chronicle caters for all people who self identify as Jewish.

The newspaper contains articles about Orthodox Judaism, Reform Judaism, Liberal Judaism and other sects. There are also articles about Jewish culture, problems with antisemitism and current events in Israel among other topics.

On February 12, 2020, it was announced that The Jewish Chronicle planned to merge with the rival British newspaper Jewish News, providing sufficient funds were raised to finance the merger. The two newspapers did not merge. On April 8, 2020, both The Jewish Chronicle and Jewish Mail announced that they were to cease publication as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Two weeks later, however, it was announced that a consortium of bankers, broadcasters and political insiders planned to buy The Jewish Chronicle, allowing the newspaper to continue to be published.
