Unlike Wikipedia, which aims a "Neutral Point of View" (NPOV), it is appropriate to take a "Jewish" point of view (JPOV) here. This Wikia is for the Jewish community and those interested in learning about Judaism.
Welcome content[]
As a community focussed Wikia, opinions on relevant topics are acceptable. Opinions such as favorite holiday traditions are welcome. There are multiple different Jewish traditions and all are welcome.
Personal points of view are allowed. Please try to be clear when giving personal opinion rather than historically or commonly accepted Jewish theology or cultural traditions.
Information about various traditions or topics that are controversial between different denominations is good content, but be respectful of the other denominations, even when you don't personally agree.
Inappropriate content[]
Polarizing or disrespectful[]
It is not ok for one group to call anothers' traditions bad or to disregard them. Therefore, the Star of David and the Israeli flag images should be used with care.
Excessive polarization of articles is disliked.
This includes anything disrespectful of other religions as well.
Irrelevant[]
Articles should be relevant to the Jewish community. Articles can be deleted because they are inappropriate, even if they are factual and correct. For instance, articles on "how to make concrete", "journalism careers", "street names in Honolulu" or "training your pet", while all reasonable articles, are not appropriate on the Judaism Wikia.
Falsehoods[]
We don't want false statements. Factually false information should be corrected or removed as soon as possible.
Advertising[]
Users may not add advertisements to the Wikia. Only Wikia-sanctioned ads, such as the Google ads are permitted.
Violations of point of view[]
Antisemitic comments and proselytizing for other religions are inappropriate. (Such comments also violate the "disrespectful" violation mentioned above.)
